Chapter: 1320
Paul said, "My mom has been quite busy. She likes going to the Senior University to run errands for her old friend who invited her to be a guest professor, specifically to give propaganda education to the seniors."
"Oh?" Ye Chen was astonished and asked, "So Aunt Han is now considered Professor Han?"
Paul chuckled and said, "Not exactly a professor. The Senior University itself isn't a real university; it's just an interest training class for seniors. My mom may be teaching there, but she's also learning calligraphy and painting with the others every day, busy as can be."
After saying that, Paul curiously asked, "What has Uncle Xiao been up to lately? My mom keeps mentioning him and seems to want to say something but doesn't."
Ye Chen felt that Paul wasn't an outsider, so he took a deep breath and told him, "You just got back from Aunt Han's place, and my mother-in-law was missing for a while. But she's now back again."
As he spoke, Ye Chen added, "My mother-in-law is quite a free spirit; my father-in-law is afraid of her. She knows Aunt Han has returned, so she'll go looking for trouble with Aunt Han. That's why my father-in-law dare not find Aunt Han."
Paul nodded lightly and said with a sigh, "It's really not good for us to meddle in our parents' affairs."
Just then, Ye Chen's phone rang suddenly, and it was Song Wan-ting, whom he hadn't seen for days.
He picked up the phone and asked smilingly, "Song Miss, what have you been busy with lately?"
Song Wan-ting laughed and said, "I've just been messing around, definitely not as busy as Master Ye."
As she spoke, she curiously asked, "Master Ye, don't know if there's any time tomorrow evening?"
Ye Chen thought for a moment and said, "Don't think so, what's up?"
Song Wan-ting laughed and said, "There's nothing much, just want to ask you to come over for dinner, Grandpa has been nagging me about you."
Ye Chen smiled and said, "Okay. I'll visit tomorrow evening then."
Song Wan-ting exclaimed happily, "That's great, Master Ye! Can we schedule it for 7 pm tomorrow?"
"Alright."
"That's it, then!"
"Alright, that's it."
Paul hung up Song Wan-ting's call and turned to Ye Chen on his side, asking with a smile: "Is this from Miss Song's call?"
Ye Chen knew he recognized Song Wan-ting, so he didn't hide the truth, nodding his head slightly: "That's correct."
Paul smiled: "Miss Song called you to discuss her birthday party, right?"
"A birthday party?" Ye Chen exclaimed in surprise: "But Miss Song just told me on the phone that I'm going to her place for dinner tomorrow night. She didn't say anything about a birthday party!"
Paul laughed meaningfully: "I think Miss Song didn't want you to spend money preparing gifts, so she only told you about going over for dinner. That's what she told me too - she just straight out said it was a birthday party."
Ye Chen couldn't help but be puzzled, wondering why someone would hide the fact that it's their birthday party. It wouldn't look good to go empty-handed in the end.
Could it really be like Paul said - did Miss Song not want him to spend money? JrNovels.com
